Requirements of the role

We’re looking for a Paralegal to provide high quality support for TPR’s litigation function, and to the wider legal team.


You will:

  • provide effective litigation support including copying and/or preparation of high-quality bundles for use in regulatory or enforcement investigations and proceedings through the efficient management of documents using TPR’s document management software or external software
  • assist in document review and disclosure exercises, including searching for relevant evidence, identifying privileged material, listing, reviewing and redacting documents
  • liaise with Counsel and other external parties
  • record and monitor legal costs
  • provide support to lawyers at Determinations Panel (DP) meetings, Tribunal and Court hearings
  • format, produce and arrange service of legal documents
  • file documentation with the DP / Tribunal / Court to required deadlines
  • conduct high quality legal research on request
  • prepare first drafts of legal advice on request
  • depending on prior experience and satisfactory completion of training, draft Tribunal pleadings and appear at hearings on behalf of TPR with lawyer oversight and supervision
  • take witness statements
  • provide general assistance at meetings, including drafting agendas and taking accurate minutes of meetings
  • provide effective support to the lawyers’ Know How groups, contribute to know how and training within the legal team
