About the role

We’re looking for experienced strategy advisors to join the Strategy and Intelligence Division. The responsibilities for this role will likely include some or all of the following:

  • Undertaking assessments of particular emerging issues for payment systems (e.g., AI, stablecoin or CBDCs) to determine their relevance to the PSR’s objectives and the risks, issues and opportunities they present
  • Undertaking analyses in support of early policy development on emerging issues
  • Leading analyses to support our role in ensuring that the PSR’s work programme remains aligned with delivering the strategic outcomes in our strategy, working with policy teams
  • Leading elements of our work to further develop our strategy, including developing measures of performance and outcomes, and supporting the prioritisation of potential work streams in the PSR’s future work programme
  • Contributing to the drafting of external publications, such as the PSR’s strategic outcomes progress report and the mid-strategy review and responses to government consultations
  • Gathering quantitative and qualitative intelligence on potential sources of risks or opportunities for payment systems and developing thoughtful frameworks for organising and prioritising it
  • Supporting the prioritisation and planning workstream for the strategic transformation programme. This will involve identifying areas of our end-to-end intervention lifecycle that could be improved, identifying dependencies between different areas, prioritising areas for improvement and planning the delivery of the programme accordingly
  • Undertaking work to improve our ability to deliver, for example, developing our approach to identifying risks and developing our strategic assurance approaches
  • Managing the inputs of colleagues and consultants to help deliver the above
