Department & Team Information
This role will sit within the Enforcement Triage, Intelligence and Co-ordination Department (ETIC) but will work across both Specialist Intelligence Dept (SID) and ETIC. These departments are at the heart of the FCA’s efforts to prevent harm. We support all areas of the FCA with insight and information to help deliver the FCA agenda – especially around reducing and preventing serious harm. We work with a range of UK and overseas partners as part of an eco-system to tackle issues such as Fraud and Money Laundering which require a joined-up approach from regulators; business; government and the public.
We also undertake the triage of intelligence received, and of matters which may require additional Intelligence Analysis or Enforcement Investigation. Staff in SID and ETIC come from a wide range of backgrounds and have a variety of specialist skills and techniques. The work is hugely varied and fast paced and must be done to a tight set of security guidelines.
What will you be doing?
Reviewing and maintaining data sharing agreements related to intelligence with external partners. Owning the relationship for intelligence data sharing purposes across over 200 external partners, working closely with the Partners and Insight Team to ensure alignment with broader strategic relationship
Defining the strategy/ framework and undertaking a programme of quality assurance of intelligence logs and data, feeding back for remediation where issues are identified and ensuring any themes which emerge of gaps in understanding are addressed as part of the above communication work, or through training
Ensuring records management standards are defined through policy standard, updated, embedded and observed across intelligence share point libraries and outlook mailboxes and that data is not held
beyond permissible dates. This will include undertaking assurance activities beyond the intelligence department, where intelligence data is shared by other areas
Delivering through others and line managing those who are supporting the delivery of data sharing agreements for intelligence purposes
Providing expert technical advice to ETIC and SID and broader FCA staff on these issues
Building comprehensive and integrated MI across ETIC and SID designed to collect data that better demonstrates the impact of intelligence tools, capabilities and work
