Requirements of the role

Join Ofgem and help shape the future of energy in Great Britain. As a Digital Communications Officer on a 24-month fixed-term contract, you will play an important role in ensuring that millions of consumers, businesses and stakeholders can easily access clear, accessible and engaging information about the energy sector and the transition to Net Zero. Working within our Digital Communications team, you will create, review and publish high-quality website content that meets user needs, supports organisational objectives and delivers a positive digital experience. Using content design principles, audience insight and performance data, you will help make complex information easier to understand, ensuring content is findable, usable and accessible for all users.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled digital communicator who is passionate about creating user-centred content and improving online experiences. You will collaborate with colleagues across policy, stakeholder engagement, events and strategic communications teams to deliver effective digital campaigns and content projects from concept through to publication. The role requires strong writing and editing skills, experience of working with content management systems, and a good understanding of content standards, accessibility requirements and style guidelines.
