Head of IT Operations

Requirements of the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of IT Operations.

As the Head of IT Operations, you will lead and be accountable for overseeing our IT Operations team ensuring the reliability and availability of all IT Services for the SRA, these include infrastructure, cloud computing, cyber security, networking, application support, database and helpdesk / end-user services.

Working closely with the IT Director and other members of the IT Leadership Team you will help to execute the overall IT vision and strategy for the Service Management functions, driving initiatives to enhance efficiency, whilst ensuring the highest quality of service delivery and support capabilities that align with our business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include managing and overseeing the internal and partner 2nd/3rd line IT support functions, incident and problem management across various IT environments, and the administration of applications, databases, networks, and both on-premise and cloud infrastructure and being the escalation and co-ordination point for our 3rd party outsource and partner support teams.

In this role you will also have budgetary accountability for our IT Operations spend, identifying opportunities to reduce costs where possible without reducing levels of service.
