Job summary
We are inviting expressions of interest to join the Ofgem AI Regulation Lab Expert Panel Pool.
The AI Regulation Lab is a table-top exercise designed to explore the regulatory implications of real or hypothetical AI uses in the GB energy sector. It provides a valuable opportunity for licensed energy companies and their innovation partners to stress test their AI applications against our Ethical AI use in the energy sector guidance and the broader energy regulatory framework.
Each session is guided by an independent, multidisciplinary panel of AI, regulation, and energy experts. The next AI Reg Lab will be held on Wednesday 2 October 2025, with further sessions planned every four months.
Job description
This is a hybrid role, requiring both in-person and virtual participation. Panel members will be expected to:
Attend one full-day, in-person session per AI Reg Lab, held in central London
Participate in online preparation and follow-up meetings, up to one additional day per Lab

This is a non-renumerated role. However, reasonable travel expenses for attendance at in-person AI Reg Labs will be paid.
