Office of Rail and Road
We work to promote competition for the benefit of consumers across all sectors of the UK economy, https://www.orr.gov.uk/vacancies
Requirements of the role
This role can be based at any of our office locations: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York or Glasgow.
This role is focussed on enabling disabled people to travel with confidence on the rail network. You will contribute to all aspects of our work on accessible travel, where our priorities are to: ensure that ORR’s Accessible Travel Policy (ATP) guidance and its application remains fit for purpose; hold operators to account against the requirements set out in the ATP guidance, informed by evidence gathered from both industry and passengers; drive continuous improvement through promoting best practice, and by informing and influencing the work of external stakeholders; and joining up across ORR to enable us to make the most of the range of regulatory tools available to us. All consumer team members also work flexibly as required to enable delivery of our work programme.
At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week.
