We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Project Analyst to join us in a full-time, permanent role, working as part of our Data and Statistics team, dedicated to identifying the data collection requirements on which the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) bases its regulation of the social housing sector.

Job Description:

As a Data Project Analyst, a large part of your role will be to develop and delivery our collections of data relating to our expanding remit in consumer regulation, including our tenant satisfaction measures. Working with colleagues across RSH, local and central government, you’ll be responsible for translating the requirements for data collection into a survey in our data collection system, producing guidance and developing a cleaning strategy and tools. You’ll identify emerging and changing requirements from our expanding consumer regulation programme, consider feedback from users and work with leads on other surveys to turn these requirements into technical specifications, which can be coded into our data collection systems.

You will play a leading role in planning and coordination in the data team to deliver the collection and cleansing of data, providing support and expert guidance to our enquiries team, and liaising directly with providers to support their completion of the returns. You will examine incoming data from consumer returns and work with other analysts to increase provider engagement and the quality of returns.

You will also be involved in the analysis and reporting of the data gathered through our systems, producing analytical tools which allow for structured, replicable analysis which will fulfil the regulators requirements for publication of data to a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate, you will have strong project and analysis skills, being experienced in the use of Excel, Microsoft Power Apps and SQL databases. You will bring relevant experience of handling and cleaning raw data and in managing data collection projects and of publishing data outputs to meet user needs. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information to non-specialist audiences and to tailor analysis outputs to a range of audiences. You should be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships within RSH and with registered providers to support our data collections, cleaning and analysis and will have experience of line management.
