Requirements of the role
This role will provide general administrative support to the Regulatory Standards Department and diary management support to Director of Regulatory Standards. The Department has four teams ensuring that professional standards at the bar evolve to support the BSB’s strategy, including responding to changing consumer expectations and new technologies, and the regulatory standards expected by us are reflected and adhered to from a Barrister’s qualification to retirement.
Key responsibilities of the post:
- Providing administrative and diary management support for the Director of Regulatory Standards as per their request and other senior stakeholders within the department as required.
- Organising both internal and external meetings, including the organisation of meeting agendas, circulating papers in advance (when required), and taking minutes of the meeting upon request.
- Provide support to the Directorate with :
- Record keeping
- Travel scheduling and administration
- Recruitment administration
- Invoice management
- Event management – organizing events, conferences, or social gatherings.
Key skills and experience required include:
- Frontline customer service skills
- Wide experience of information and data management within various IT applications
- Delivery and planning skills
- Diary Management
- Multitasking and prioritisation
- Relationship building and collaboration
- Ability to use MS Publisher or similar programmes
