Governance Manager


Requirements of the role

The Role 

The BSB is recruiting for a Governance Manager to join our team. The post holder will provide their corporate governance expertise to supporting the organisation in its effective and strategic decision making.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Managing the cyclical workload of the Governance team, including the line management of a Corporate Risk and Governance Officer and directly providing secretariat support for senior executive groups
  • Managing the recruitment and contractual arrangements for non-executive workers.
  • Managing the BSB’s corporate risk and Board assurance processes, including review and update of the corporate risk register.

 

Key skills and experience required to undertake the role include experience of: 

  • Working within a Board and committee structure, or a similar environment
  • Monitoring compliance with governance systems
  • Recruitment and induction of non-executives
  • Drafting and presenting reports to Boards and Committees, including responding to constructive challenge
