This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to establish and lead our Proactive and Intelligence function, setting the strategy for risk identification and investigative excellence.

 

The role

As Head of Proactive and Intelligence, you will play a key role in the leadership of Investigations and the broader Investigations and Enforcement directorate. You will be responsible for building and developing the new Proactive team, shaping its approach and priorities to enhance our ability to detect and prevent fraud and emerging risks. With three direct reports, you will lead a team of Intelligence and Investigation Officers and Managers, working closely with risk analysis and data strategy specialists. Your role will be pivotal in identifying threats, assessing risks, and delivering high-quality investigations that create a credible deterrence across the regulated community. Experience in data analysis and interpretation, and innovative problem-solving will be essential for success in this role.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external agencies, including law enforcement and regulatory bodies, to strengthen engagement and enhance risk management capabilities. A key focus will be on ensuring the management team has the right insights, using both data and qualitative information to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. You will identify opportunities to improve the quality and timeliness of investigations, driving continuous improvement across the function.
