Requirements of the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Manager. 

 

The SRA’s external environment is fast evolving which has seen in recent months an increased demand upon the SRA and which the SRA has grown accordingly in order to meet. The IT Manager is one of a number of new roles in the IT Directorate to help the SRA to continue to deliver to a high standard, and to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.

 

As the IT Manager, you will manage complex software licensing discussions with third-party suppliers, optimise investments, and guide new purchases. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier contracts, ensuring value for money, and maintaining high-quality standards through robust spend management and performance improvement initiatives. You will lead tendering activities, manage relationships with third-party providers, and conduct service review meetings with key stakeholders to ensure contractual delivery and supplier accountability.

 

In this pivotal role, you will also be responsible for the lifecycle management of technology assets, ensuring efficient onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining an accurate asset register. You will define and report on the KPIs of the IT function, addressing any areas of underperformance with the IT leadership team. Leading the IT Management team, you will drive continuous improvement in processes and performance, ensuring our IT function delivers exceptional results.
