Requirements of the role
At the forefront of protecting energy consumers, Ofgem is building smarter, greener technology to power a low-carbon future. We’re looking for a Junior Software Developer to join us and help combat the challenges of legacy tech and drive the evolution of our cloud-based digital services.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
Monitor site uptime and site reliability and take necessary action.
Stewardship and ownership of work items.
Work from support tickets to diagnosis of fault and then action or refer to appropriate 3rd line teams.
Write code according to standards, and security review tools.
Meet individual and contribute to the Applications Teams SLAs.
Onboard and mentor new colleagues to the team.
Working with project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to develop, maintain, and support, key Ofgem scheme applications.
Complete personal training as per learning objectives relating to technical skills with the objective of becoming a full stack developer and undertake greenfield development of Ofgem schemes.
