Requirements of the role
Job description
Key deliverables:
- Manage a portfolio of parliamentary activity, including leading response to incoming
enquiries, developing proactive engagement plans, and engaging with select
committees and relevant APPGs. - Horizon scan and monitor parliamentary events in Westminster and Cardiff to identify
and manage issues and opportunities. - Actively contribute to wider stakeholder engagement planning and activities.
- Advise the Chair, Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team on the development of
parliamentary and stakeholder engagement activities. - Develop engaging and innovative events, both virtual and in person, utilising and
experimenting with a broad range of facilitation techniques. - Coordinate and execute regular campaigns to build understanding and advocacy for our work.
- Monitor the effectiveness of parliamentary and stakeholder engagement activities.

To be successful in this role you will need the below essential attributes, experience, skills and knowledge:
Experience, skills and knowledge
- Lead Criterion: Experience in developing and delivering parliamentary and stakeholder engagement programmes.
- Understanding of parliamentary procedures and stakeholder best practice.
- Creative thinking and approach to problem solving and delivery in different contexts.
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely for a range of different channels and media.
- Demonstrable experience of leading innovation in communications.
- Understanding of the role of audience segmentation and targeting for communications.
