Ofgem
The energy regulator for Great Britain, https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/about-us/working-ofgem
Requirements of the role
Ofgem is at the forefront of the battle to modernise Britain’s energy infrastructure, upgrading legacy systems and paving the way to a Net Zero future. We’re looking for a Programme Manager to join us and take the lead on delivering high-stakes, multi-disciplinary programmes that will transform how we work and support the energy needs of the nation.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.
We’re offering a fixed-term contract with the opportunity to lead the delivery of large-scale digital change programmes that are essential to the UK’s clean energy transformation. Working across infrastructure, digital services and stakeholder landscapes, you’ll shape a more modern and efficient organisation ready to meet today’s challenges. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, policy and delivery, bringing innovation into focus and making tangible improvements for consumers.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team culture, working alongside specialists across infrastructure and IT. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning systems and stakeholders, streamlining delivery across multiple strands of work, and embedding long-term value and resilience. You’ll also gain exposure to high-profile partnerships with central government and digital leaders, influencing how we evolve our delivery systems.
We’re looking for someone with excellent project leadership experience and the ability to manage competing priorities in complex digital environments. You’ll be confident working at pace, guiding teams, and driving outcomes across interconnected systems. Strong stakeholder skills are a must, as is the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
This is your chance to take ownership of meaningful digital change. You’ll enjoy flexible working, a hybrid model across our offices in London, Glasgow or Cardiff, and the chance to build new skills in infrastructure, networks, and supplier engagement, working with major players like Microsoft and other tech partners.
We have a critical purpose to modernise our digital delivery and upgrade legacy systems to support a resilient, secure and future-ready energy sector. Join us to lead the transformation and help shape the systems that power change.
