Job Description:

As the Regulatory Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for delivering frontline regulation, working with registered providers to gain assurance of compliance with the regulatory standards.

In this key role, you will deliver effective engagement for an assigned portfolio of registered providers, supporting colleagues in engagement with registered providers, carrying out assessments, inspections and investigations to obtain assurance of compliance with the standards.

Carrying out both planned and responsive inspections, you will work with a team to gather evidence of compliance and will analyse the evidence to reach views on the level of assurance we have on standard compliance, making recommendations for regulatory judgements. Where improvements are required, you will work to design follow-up interventions and will work with the provider to ensure effective delivery.

Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate, you will have a sound understanding of the Regulator’s role and have relevant experience in a housing, governance, risk management or other comparable regulatory environment.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of managing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, as well as strong analytical evaluation skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement.

You will be able to evaluate how organisations apply principles of good governance and risk management and the risk environment in which registered providers operate.  You will be able to work across team boundaries in a collaborative and inclusive way and will have a high level of personal organisation, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
