Senior Cost Recovery Officer

Requirements of the role

Join our team as a Senior Cost Recovery Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in recovering various the costs of regulatory action, including Intervention costs, Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT)  costs, Litigation costs, Compensation Fund losses, and Solicitors Indemnity Fund  (SIF)  matters.

The role

You will involve quickly assimilating large amounts of information and conducting timely searches using resources such as Land Registry, Bankruptcy, Companies House, and Google. You will take prompt and appropriate recovery actions to maximize recoveries in a manner that is proportionate and in the public interest.

You will engage with debtors to negotiate settlements, instruct panel solicitors or agents for hearings, and oversee their progress. Your role will also involve coaching and mentoring junior team members, collaborating with Client Protection Teams, Legal, and the wider SRA, maintaining high-quality standards in all work, and preparing comprehensive reports recommending relevant outcomes.
