Requirements of the role

We are Ofwat, the Water Services Regulation Authority, a non-ministerial government department responsible for regulating the water sector in England and Wales.

We have an opportunity for a Principal Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Services Team within the Corporate Enablers Directorate.

The Senior Data Engineer will play a key role within the newly established Data Platform Services team, part of Ofwat’s Corporate Enablers (CE) Directorate. The CE Directorate brings together five essential business support functions – IT and Digital, Security, HR, Finance, Procurement and Facilities – that underpin the delivery of Ofwat’s wider strategic objectives. These teams ensure that we have the right capabilities, tools, and culture to be a high-performing, forward-thinking, and effective organisation for the benefit of customers, society, and the environment.
