2024 HR Networking event
Published: 30th April 2024
On Tuesday the 23rd of April, UKRN were delighted to host a networking event at the FCA’s London offices, for HR professionals.
The theme of the day was: cultural change with a digital focus
HR specialists from across our members attended this engaging and interactive day, facilitated by Siobhan Sheridan, Chief People Officer at the FCA and UKRN HR Directors’ network Chair with special guest speakers:
- David D’Souza, Director of Profession at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), talking through CIPD’s focus areas for 2024, including championing the profession, managing conflict, productivity and skills and AI.
- Anastasia Vinnikova, Head of Workplace Wellbeing at the MindForward Alliance UK, discussing wellbeing in a rapidly changing, turbulent economic and political landscape, impacting all aspects of our lives.
- Adam Bertelsen, Managing Consultant and Dan Winch, Principal Consultant at PA Consulting, presenting on the risk and opportunities of AI and GenAI within regulation and HR.
“HR provides some of the richest opportunities for generative AI use cases within an organisation. More than this, for an organisation to make a truly informed decision about its approach to AI, HR leaders must leverage their seat at the Boardroom table.”
Dan Winch, guest speaker and Principal Consultant at PA Consulting
In thanking delegates for their attendance, Siobhan Sheridan noted:
“It was a pleasure to host the Network whilst we considered some of the key strategic issues and opportunities for us all as Regulators in the year ahead. We all benefit from time to think, and I think the day provided us all with an opportunity to do so, stimulated by the insights of our fellow professionals and presenters.”
Through the HR Directors’ network and associated working groups, we will continue to identify risks and opportunities for AI and GenAI across the employee lifecycle and the wider implications for our members.
